Our AquaCera filter elements contain water treatment media to remove certain contaminants, they will not reduce dissolved minerals from water. A TDS meter should not be used when testing water after our ceramic filter elements as the results will not be accurate and more than often will result in a higher reading than before the ceramic element. This is due to the materials that the ceramic is made from, which are mineral based.
